chalet on three sides. The Park offers limitless opportunities for every type of outdoor activity
imaginable. Below is a list of some of the more popular pursuits. Detailed information on each is available at the cabin, or from the Tourist Information Centre in Clearwater town. |
Summer Activities |
| From early May to late September there are activities to suit every interest and level of fitness: Hikes to swimming holes at the foot of mighty waterfalls, or up into the high alpine meadows of the Trophy Mountains. Kayaking and rafting down the turbulent waters of the Clearwater River, or fishing for enormous Salmon from its banks. Casting for feisty Rainbow Trout from a canoe on any one of hundreds of nearby lakes. (Pick your own lake, you'll be left alone on it!) Horse-riding, Mountain Biking, Fossil Hunting, and yes... there is a challenging 9 hole Golf Course just 2. km down the road. |

WildlifeThere is an abundance of wildlife in the area, and many follow a seasonal migration route across the chalet property. Black Bear emerge from hibernation in early May, and they remain active until October. Deer and Moose pass through at regular intervals throughout the year in search of seasonal grazing, and trying to evade the Wolves, Coyotes and Cougar that prey on them.Smaller creatures such as Porcupine, Fisher, Martin and Squirrel are always about. |
